Everything you need to know about booking on DISQ — for organizers and DJs alike.
Once a DJ accepts your booking, you'll receive a payment link via email. Payment is held in escrow by DISQ — the DJ doesn't receive the money until after your event is confirmed as completed.
This protects you: if the DJ cancels or doesn't show, you get a full refund. No invoices, no wire transfers, no chasing.
If a DJ cancels after payment, DISQ will work with you to find a replacement from our roster. If we can't find a match in time, you receive a full refund — no questions asked.
Every DJ on DISQ has agreed to our cancellation policy before joining. Last-minute cancellations affect their standing on the platform.
Yes. When you submit a booking request you can include a message for the DJ. Once they respond, a direct chat thread opens between you where you can discuss details, negotiate, or counter the offer before anything is confirmed.
No payment is required until both sides agree.
The organizer pays upfront when they confirm the booking. DISQ holds those funds in escrow until after your event. Once the event date passes and the booking is marked completed, the payout is released to you — automatically, within 24 hours.
You get 100% of your quoted rate. DISQ charges the organizer a service fee on top, so your rate is never touched.
No. Creating a profile on DISQ is free. There are no monthly fees, no listing costs, and no commission taken from your rate.
The only charge is a service fee paid by the organizer at checkout — you keep every dollar of what you quote.
Apply through the DJ sign-up page. Fill in your name, email, city, genres, and starting rate. Your profile goes live as soon as it's approved — usually within a day.
Once you're live, organizers can find and book you directly. You'll get an email notification every time a new booking request comes in.
